One of the most important questions that we have had to answer while forming CLP is, “why?”  Why did we form CLP and why should leaders partner with us as they transition?  I think it can be explained in one finding:

“There is a negative correlation between well-being and traditional retirement.”

We are motivated by the opportunity to reverse this correlation by helping executives and owners find further success and explore new satisfying opportunities.  The traditional retirement model no longer works and it is failing executives and owners.

By bringing together the disciplines that are essential to a successful transition, our integrated solution is designed to succeed where others fail.  We recognize that for successful leaders wealth management, executive coaching, and executive career development are all important for a successful transition but do not work well independent of each other.  They are much more effective when synthesized into a single, seamless experience.  We are using our approach to partner with clients to envision their ideal future and develop a realistic plan to bring that future to life.

One program that continues to inspire us is the Mayo Clinic’s Executive Health Program. Designed to serve busy executives, this program lasts one to three days and provides a complete workup, including a physical exam, screenings, fitness evaluation, review of medications and a lifestyle assessment. With access to specialists and subspecialists in every conceivable area, executives can be sure they are receiving the most accurate assessment possible in the most efficient manner.

We believe our method replicates this program for the transition process, it is designed to give our clients comprehensive access to professionals in wealth management, executive coaching, and executive career development all in one place for maximum efficiency and effectiveness and the highest probability of reversing the negative correlation.
